Toe tapping tunes?

OK, as a follow up to my previous post about fitness, I wonder if I could propose something to y'all. Does anyone have a favorite workout mix? Highly motivational music that gets you moving? If any of you are willing to provide me with a disk, or even just a list of songs, I'd be very grateful. And I'd try to compensate you in some appropriate way. I can do icons or other graphics (I've started doing wallpapers and making stationery in Photoshop, so I'm learning to do bigger formats). I'd be happy to perform minor sewing tasks, take you out for lunch or coffee, or mail you a package of interesting and inspirational items (...a fine art I've been perfecting in recent years).

Other forms of compensation may work, too. Pending approval by E, of course :)

I like the "Party Monster" soundtrack. But then, I'm a goob.

I can burn a copy if you would like...

Gah! Can't reply in my own LJ! I shall try this once again.

I would LOVE it if you would do that. I'd be happy to meet after work one day this week, and coffee/drinks/whatever is on me. Cool?

I have been pondering making a mix CD for my own workout use -- if I do that, I'll be happy to burn an extra copy.

Would be absolutely thrilled. Please let me know if you get around to that, and I'll figure out a way to thank you for your generosity.

Ska is one of the few things that makes me want to move.

True enough. "Not liking ska is like not liking fun."

Excellent. Something to do. I shall entitle this collection "Flambe de Derieir". O.K. I can't speak French. I mean for it to be named "Fire under my ass". (has nothing to do with the D.C. Meltdown).
Upbeat and techno-gothy (with a few surprises added) comming right up..
(In a few days, actually) I'll burn you a copy.

I find that peppy 80s music works best for me, especially Madonna's early stuff. I'm a little embarrassed about that, but it's my trainer's fault.

I do work out to music that I'd be sheepish about (or just would opt not to listen to) at any other time.

Music to work out to
I do have a few mixes I use when I go walking. I would be more than happy to give you a disc or two! I like mostly upbeat dancing stuff, some motown, etc... I do have some chillout music as well. What is your favorite style of music?

Re: Music to work out to
Well... I tend to lean toward the pretty angsty, hard-core stuff. The cheery stuff I like tends to be sort of in the "dangerously cheery" range. Like ska. See above :)

While I have to confess that I am not a big fan of motown, I *am* a big fan of being exposed to music I did not previously know about. So, you know, it's all good.

Hm, on further consideration, the "KitchenAid" mix that follybard made for me just to keep me energized and entertained at work might be useful too.
