Speaking of E, he proves again what a clever costumer he is by engineering a cuff closure solution that sidesteps the fact that we don't have enough of the right kind of grommets. He sewed on buttons and used an old elastic hair tie to make stretchy loops that obviate the need for lacing. He's so smart.

And here, gods help me, are some very beautiful heirloom beans, called "Tiger's eyes". Yeah, I realize it makes me a hopeless dingbat that I am in love with these gorgeous legumes, but I am. I bought them online and have been saving them for a special occasion, and they are going into "benes yfryed" for the feast on Saturday:
