Hey, kids! What time of year is it?

Just so this isn't a GIP*, here's some info on our Beltane event to be held on the weekend of May 13th-15th. If you want extensive info, and breaking news, go here and sign up. I'll need to approve you, but I'll do that right away.

Basic details:

Location: The Land Celebration.
Cost: For the whole weekend (Friday through Sunday): $35 per person.
For Saturday evening, or Saturday through Sunday: $25 per person.

That cost covers the site (which includes toilet facilities and shower, a kitchen, a lovely pond for swimming, labyrinths and beautiful natural groves, etc, etc… go look at the website ) a performance by Martiya Possession, games of skill with some sort of prize (we think), the traditional Maypole dance, and various other things we are thinking up as we go along. It also covers some of the communal food and drink, although we do ask that folks also bring some small feast contribution. More details about that are available on the Yahoo group .

Dress: Some sort of medieval or Renaissance garb is requested but not required. We like for our revelers to feel as if they have stepped into a place outside of their mundane existence, so while we aren't sticklers for authenticity, we prefer folks to be costumed. On the other hand, we'd rather have you come than not, so we will never actually require costumes. If you need loaner garb, let me know, and we will see what we can do.

There's much more to say, but I'll leave it for another time. Come to Beltane. Even if you never have before. Especially if you never have before! Seriously. I'd hate to have to… take measures!

*that means "gratuitous icon post". But it is a kinda cool icon, huh? Thanks. You're too kind!
