But it's alien and awesome and angelic in a Biblical, fear-inspiring way. Eek!

Could there be a more "Squee-a-rrific" page? (this is rhetorical)

I fear them more than the Laibach Kittens, who at least had rhythm, if not fashion sense.

I have extreme whale fear. But it's weird. Because they're also a sort of a spirit guide for me, if you will. (Yeah, I'm kind of a flake.)

I hear it's not terribly uncommon to be fearful of the animal from which you have the most to learn. People often dream of being attacked or even killed by their animal totem. In my dreams, the whales are just placidly swimming by, sometimes fervently trying to communicate to me the fact that they love their babies (figure that one out.)

I dunno. They just inspire awe and wonder in me, I guess.

They are the DJs of the sea, you know. Paraphrasing St. Edward of Izzard, of course.

I thought I was the only person who was randomly terrified of whales (horrible nightmare as a child). I feel so close to you now.

*hug!*

Remember the life-szied blue whale that used to hang in the Natural History Museum? That thing rendered me catatonic.

Wow. Amazing. Me too!

I used to force myself to stand and look at it for as long as I could, which was about seven seconds. So scary.

And Finding Nemo. I was the only one in the theatre who screamed when they realized it wasn't an up close little fish but a far away big fish.

Yeah, I had to look away. But for some reason, the cartoon whale didn't scare me as much. Eric was afraid I'd pass out! I was proud of how calm I stayed.

Well, that would seem to make sense. But I haven't got any, unless you count my kitties.

The whales, they will not hurt you.
They just want you to know stuff.

I know I shouldn't be so scared. Whatever I'm supposed to learn here must be a doozy, huh?
