Not the fun kind of "rut" either.

My beloved fandom girlfriend recently got a job in the LA area doing stuff she loves. She's got no time for goofing off or surfing, and the hours are terribly long. But she gets into projects that are so engaging, she loses track of time. I really, really envy that.

Did two massages back-to-back last night. I remember now that I really enjoy that. If I could get off my butt and go through the tedious, painful process of certification and licensing, I could be out of my current livelihood rut before the end of summer. I really could. I've got the house, the fantastic , supportive husband, and all the stability I need to make a change. What am I afraid of?

Gaaaaaaah! Maybe it's because I have Friday off. I can barely sit still. I've got sewing and crafting and baking to do. I've got gardening to start on, and a whole attic full of boxes to dig through. Good gods, I can hardly think of anything less inspiring to spend my waking hours on than proofreading and making tiny javascript edits.

Will somebody please say something interesting?

Me, too. I only ever seem to get it when I choose to go back to school and not be paid. :) And it's not holding out very well this semester.

I think you should definitely get that certification.

I've nothing really interesting to say. My fallback, which would be politics, is making me want to claw my eyes out at the mo.

*hugs, though*

Ack. I hear you. No politics. I've been having to hide my head from that for months.

The veggie garden is mulched, and the early lettuce, squash and pea seeds are in the ground. We have rain today, and are expecting some sun in the next few days.

Spring is here!

Admittedly, my post is nowhere near as interesting as boobs.

i don't think the Exorcist in 30 seconds re-enacted by bunnies is as interesting as boobs, but i just posted it to my journal. it should be good for a grin, at least.

also, what are my chances of getting a massage sometime next week? i'll make you oatmeal apple raisin bread as payment.

My goodness, that is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Or, at least for today. Thanks for posting it. :)

You're joking, right?

Well, duh... But it woke you up for a split second, dinnit?

Hmmm. I saw something interesting yesterday.

We were driving home at sunset and the sun was a sort of liquified, tangerine, behind a thin flourish of clouds, a kind of curlicued underlining across the sky from left to right like you might make at the end of a letter, after the "Love, me" or "Best." And the clouds were deep purple, oranged at the edges like a fringe. And the sun, behind this sort of unfurling of colour, sent out a perfect column of light, bright orange, too, straight up into the purpling sky, and straight down into the mountains, like a spindle unwinding this twisting thread of clouds. And all down the road on on our left, the cables of the telephone poles caught the slanting rays and flashed bright orange, flourescent almost, as though the poles were strung with neon wire, flaring against the bare birches and dark firs. And the road was lavender licked with black in the hollows and quicksilver at the crests of hills, and the cars coming toward us were pale blue ghosts with these vague, luminous eyes.

It was cool.

Um, or, well, *I* thought it was interesting. *points over there* Look! Boobs!! *sneaks away*

ooooh! *zones out on byoooootiful image*

Very interesting indeed. Almost as intersting as boobs.

Say, have you gotten anything interesting in the mail, while we're on the topic of interesting? Cause I'm starting to wonder if the USPS can be trusted to get my mail up north...

I have not yet received anything in the mail. Other than tax stuff. If you sent me tax stuff I have to wonder a) how secure Revenue Canada is and b) whether you like me at *all* ;)

But knowing that something *might be coming* is enough to get me out of bed occasionally. Well, that and my housecoat. I actually get out of bed *just* so I can wear my housecoat, which is fleecy.

Yeah, you needed to know that.

I love you.

Love you, too. *drags you off to a private place to show you how much*
