This week in God (and Icons)

Here's a great piece from the Boulder Weekly, on a favorite, timely topic: What is the Christian Left to do in neo-con America?

If progressives were left feeling bereft on the morning of Nov. 3, none were feeling the shock more deeply than progressive Christians.

Hugs and gratitude to cereselle, incidentally. Just wanted to say that.

Also, icons: Nothing new at the moment. Sorry. I spent hours poking at a thing for eac last night, and just couldn't get comfortable with it. I'll try again tonight. It looks like I just might be able to get Photoshop to run on my PC after all. If so, this will go a lot quicker. I'm churning 'em out in the order you folks put in your requests.

Finally, I give you about one third of my entire knowledge of Hebrew:

Baruch atah Adonai elohaynu melech ha'olam asher kidshanu bemitzvotav
vetzivanu lehadlik ner shel Hanukkah.

OK. I cannot make this icon do what I want it to do, so here it is anyway. eac, my dear, I'm sorry to subject you to my obession with this particular concept. See, I found this heart-breaking Bowie quote, and even after promising myself that I would NOT make you a Bowie icon, I decided that resistance was futile. Here it is:

I may go back to picking at it after I've made some others.

tafkar is up next.
