Three good things

Thanks to rednikki for introducing me to this habit. It's tremendously easy for me to focus exclusively on negative stuff. So for today:

1. Looks like I will have a bumper crop of tomatoes starting in about a week.
2. I've got a new talk therapist who I think is going to be really helpful.
3. I have finally got my hands on some rare plants I was unable to grow from seed.

Oh, and a bonus one

4: I've been shown a startling amount of kindness lately by some folks I'd never have expected it from.

Your turn. Seriously, give it a shot, even if it's hard. I'll make you feel better, and in case it's any added incentive, it'll make me feel better to know what's going well in your life!

Three good things for me
1. I had so much fun learning how to make mozzarella cheese this weekend! (just in time for your tomatoes)
2. Cooper and Oslo were extra snuggly this morning.
3. My little nephew (5 months old) has just learned how to hug.

Hooray! You won the auction, crushed your enemies, drove them before you and listend to the lamentations of their aubergines.

1. I got to kiss a Fenriss at Saturday's party! ;-)

2. Summer yoga bargain deal at the new studio right in my 'hood means lots of yummy yoga practices.

3. My office plants are growing like crazy alien mutants. One of their cute little vines has grown under an upright file on the desk to come peek at my computer screen!

erm... *blush* :)

Man, I really think I need a yoga practice, but I am *way* too self-conscious right now to go back to a studio for it. Maybe I'll try to find videos. I dunno.

I have some videos if you want to borrow. Also, the studio thing varies WILDLY -- some of them are full of aerobicized athletes in spandex and some of them are populated by regular people with a variety of body types and flexibility levels.

My three:
1. I've got a new therapist too! He's been really good so far. He asks questions that help me think about things in different ways, so I don't fall so far into the negativity rut.
2. Batman opens this week!
3. I may not be able to run right now, but I can still walk. That's pretty cool. :)
4. Yay!

Thanks. This is a great practice.
1. My neighbor's 5yr boy brought me tomatoes and cukes from their garden as his way of thanking me for Strawberry jam. (which he loves, but his little sister can't have because she is allergic, so he almost taunts her with it. sigh)
2. My cherry pie finally set, after refrigeration
3. I am blessed with a job that lets me take time to support a friend when I've only been here for 3 weeks. (attended the funeral for Chris' step-dad)

Ah, poor Chris. I hope he's doing better now.

1. My sunflowers are getting ready to bloom, and my profusion of day lilies can be seen and enjoyed all the way from the end of the block. I am especially excited about the sunflowers because this is the third year I have tried to grow them from seed and the first time I have gotten any to survive the birds and squirrels.

2. My second-oldest child has started summer school in preparation for kindergarten in the fall and so far is adapting well. I worry about her behavior, but so far my worries have been baseless. And she *loves* riding the bus.

3. My youngest child - 17 months - asked to sit on the potty for the first time today. Nothing came out, but it was still very exciting.

2. My family is healthy; and

3. My home-based company is allowing us to pay the bills.

Hell, your new spooky chicken coop makes me smile every time I think about it.

Hey, I'm assuming Allie and kids got home safe and sound, right?

1. I came home yesterday to find the last of the 4th of July backyard stuff correctly put away, the coolers cleaned out and just generally a neat place to hang out again (things usually dealt with a few weeks before the current party; ew... very skanky beer).

2. Dodger curled up with me for a bit last night when I went to bed.

3. I've been getting to see all my friends so much lately, it makes me feel all gooey and happy.

Ooh, I grow basil too!

So, I am assuming that it is *good* to look like a big, hot mess? :) (also, congrats on the music stuff!)

Yes, thanks! The Early Girl you gave me has helped a lot with the problem that most of what I grew was late-season. I already have some delicious red 'maters from it.

Best of luck with the new garden space. I hope you'll post pictures in the spring.
