Heh. You probably already know about the book What's the Matter with Kansas</a>, right? Sounds like a delightful time.

So sorry about the cold. I really have no basis for claiming that the EmergenC is why I've stayed healthy this season, but it's the only daily habit I've been disciplined about, and it is kind of remarkable that I haven't gotten sick in so long.

Anyway, get lots of rest. You aren't pushing yourself too hard, and failing to take sick leave when you need it, are you? *taps foot*

Try living in Kansas. I grew up in the country, lived in small towns before, but Kansas is still like living on a remote island.
Thats my good thing... I'm out of Kansas and in PA. Which includes the chance to go see my family and eat all the stuff I can't get out in Kansas: Scrapple, Red Beat Eggs, Hot Bacon Dressing, ShooFly Pie, my dad's apple pie(ate a whole one in one sitting).

Ummmmm...maybe? ;) Interestingly, today I feel just about normal, but my voice is about an octave lower than usual. Gotta work on my Marlene Dietrich accent.

I actually hadn't heard about What's the Matter with Kansas. So what is the matter with it?

Glad you're feeling better. You know, many years ago, my Mom got to go to Hollywood to present Barbara Streisand with an award of some sort while she was getting over laryngitis. She apologized to Barbara about her scratchy voice before the ceremony, who replied that it sounded sexy, and would come off great in Tinsel Town :)

It would seem that this is what's the matter with Kansas. I have to say, I'm really happy to hear that your family is there. We can't all just flock to the Blue States and leave the other ones to the bad guys.

Heh, looks like an interesting read. Well, my freaky, left-wing, queer-friendly, pink-haired, college-educated family will continue to fight the good fight out there in the wheat fields! :)

Now my voice just sounds nasal and whiny. Poo.
