Usagi Bento!

As part of my effort to 1.) boost my spirits and 2.) control my food portions, I decided I needed to start packing bento. Here is the adorable bunny bento set I bought! It's pretty small, but that helps me remember to pack it with as much nutrition as possible, and avoid empty calories. And I can always carry a piece of fruit along, too.

Anyone have clever lunch-packing tips or recipes you'd care to share?

my lunch-packing tip
I have become quite addicted to the bags of pre-washed baby spinach. I usually pack leftovers, and a lot of times there will be something acidic like tomato sauce that I'd rather not have touching the plastic container/lid. So I add a layer of raw spinach leaves between the curry/pasta/whatever and the plastic. It cooks perfectly in the microwave and adds some fresh greens to my meal (plus, it looks pretty!)
