I wonder if there are any ashrams that accept married couples.

Sure, you can go to an ashram for a vacation! But that may not be what you mean.

Have you looked into retreat vacation places like Kripalu?

Not with any real focus. Just sort of idly. Maybe I need to get more serious about that. I tend to just assume the the time and resources will never be there, so why bother? I think I need to make the time and find the resources.

Kripalu is probably spendy, but an ashram or Buddhist retreat could be cheap. I've been to a few short retreats in the past (writing workshops mostly) and they are well worth it! Silence is, um, golden or something...
