oooOOOoooOOOoooooo...

I wonder what it is about the sight of a full-grown woman in kitty ears that makes so many morning commuters grumpy. I guess it's worth it for the handful of grins.

While I am a bit put out that I had to be here until 7:30 PM yesterday, and was then back at 7 AM today to print stuff, at least I had a cheerful morning setting up the classroom. The cute little cafeteria across the hall was playing Dancing Queen. It's hard to be too depressed when you're wearing kitty ears and listening to Abba.

Good Samhain, ya'll. I hope your day is as fun, contemplative or sp00ky as you would wish it to be.

I bet a few of 'em wanted to smile, but felt compelled to be grown-upishly dissaproving.

I dunno, I've found it to be the only day of the year that my real appearance DOESN'T seem to put people off. It's the one day we can move among the surface-dwellers without a disguise...

Sadly, my Halloween will, like last year's, be devoted to grading papers. Sigh. At least when I had a real job I could always take Halloween as a vacation day. And since I can't REALLY claim it as a religious holiday...

*pout*

If I were completely reckless I would just throw the Domo-Kun suit in the back seat and drive up there after class tonight, but it would be bad on many levels, especially since I didn't sleep last night, again.

If it makes you feel any better, since I have to be at work again at 7:30 tomorrow, my revelry will consist of an old Dracula movie or two with the boy, and then early sleep.

I miss you.

I shall dress up the Boo and take pictures (and perhaps take her to the coffee shop in costume...if she'll tolerate it), buy candy to give to any trick or treaters (not many ring the bells on our condos), and try to think up a good dinner.

James is apparently wearing his faire garb (purple and green) to work with Joker makeup. Renaissance batman villain. :)
