im in ur dairyland eatin ur cheeze

The drive was uneventful but long. Sitting that long is a bit painful on the butt.

We are in Fond du Lac (that's French for "Lake of Melted Cheese"). This is where the quaint comes from. You know, the adorable, country sort of quaint. At least for a short time, it is actually kind of comforting and cozy.

We're off to Goldsmith Road tomorrow to see Dad and Stepmom. Hope you're all well. Will report if anything exciting happens. Please be sure to hold your breath.

"Lake of Melted Cheese"

Hey, that's my joke. (OK, sure, it's kinda obvious, so I can't claim exclusive credit...)

Still happy to give you credit. *tips hat*

Best of luck on your Holiday adventures in the land of Fromage du Nord. Please give my (appropriately edited) Season's Greetings to the Squire and... ummm... Squiress?

It's creepy quiet out there, shall I fedex you a tape of sirens and street noise so you can sleep?
Dec. 21st, 2006 05:06 am (UTC)
It is. So much more creepy quiet than a person who'd never been here would think. *covers eyes*

And we now sleep out in the Green House. So it's even creepier.

Fortunately we have lots of Rollins and Feotus and such on our MP3 players, so we are OK. But many thanks! *big tackly hugs*

So, how did it all go? I hope you had a lovely holiday trip (as good as seeing family could get).
I'm stuck at mom and dad's house. My sister Lynette is trapped in her house all alone and bored. I wish Kris and I could visit her, but it would probably take over an hour to get there with the horrible roads around here.
