So the infirmity of the day is GI discomfort and I'm not talking about Gothic/Industrial. I have no doubt that it's due to a combination of a week of rich foods and the metric ton of vitamins and herbs I've been taking to ward off the Cold From Hell. Still, it sucks.

I swear I'm not a hypochondriac. I'm guessing I'm just weakened by the dark and chilly weather. On the up side, I'm in pretty high spirits considering the circumstances. maybe the light is starting to work?

Oh and I just got news that a friend's house was raided by a swat team last night. The explanation she was given was that some neighbor was suspected of robbing a bank, but I'm inclined to think that a group-house full of young musician types was just an irresistible target for over eager Drug Warmongers.

Civil rights? Never heard of 'em.

This thing about the raid *IS* really unsettling -- most particularly because of the DAMAGE done to things. I can envision a search of all the apartments being necessary (though that's an enfringement on civil rights, too) but the violence of the thing can't be justified.

Try yogurt for the stomach?

Well, yeah. I forget who on the list said "they thought maybe the suspect was hiding in their drawers?"

Ooh. Good idea. The notion of eating anything isn't very appealing right now, but a little yogurt might help balance things.

Gack!
How horrid on both counts. I do recall that I was a bit more... ebullient... than usual, after the weekend, particularly Saturday, when I ate way more than I did on Fangs-giving.

Do I know the person who got raided? What a dreadful experience. I worry a lot more now than I used to. This whole Crusade (which of course, translates as "jihad") against "evildoers" is definitely bleeding over into the Drug War, making it more audacious than before (and it was bad before). Medical marijuana clinics being raided in California and the like.

Tyranny's a pretty big evil. I'd love it if the people with all the money and guns and governmentally-granted carte blanche to commit mayhem would just stop perpetrating it against me and my neighbors. And random starving 3rd-world peasants and stuff. Gah.
