Waving, not drowning

Phew. I’ve never enjoyed anything this difficult before. The massage gig is slowly starting to be lucrative, and I’m beginning to get the hang of the Library of Congress. I’ve got the debilitating anxiety under control (for now) and I’m starting to feel good about being largely in business for myself.

At the same time, I am trying to keep a handle on Beltane plans, and get a significant amount of house and garden work done. So please contact me directly if you need me, OK? I won’t have a lot of time for LJ for the foreseeable future.

It was great to see a lot of my fellow dinosaurs out last night at Nick’s, however briefly. It’s interesting how I’m in a much bigger hurry to get home to bed when I’m working for myself the following day, instead of for the man.

Smooches all around!

Re: Nice Job.
Thanks, my dear. It's scary, but I'm just hanging on to the belief that it'll all be worth it.

Re: Nice Job.
To have the rewards of managing your own client base, your own schedule, and the intellectual freedom to decide on which priorities to focus your life? That's golden, and you can do this, no problem. You've been able to do this for years, I'm just glad you are giving yourself the opportunity to try. It takes a lot, but the rewards are out there, and if you can just get someone else (accountant?) or some computer program to handle the majority of the paperwork.....

If you have MSAccess, the latest versions have some ready made address databases which could work to help you track existing and former clients, and I know you know people who can trade you a webpage for costuming...
