Run, do not walk. Hilarious.

Then, if you should choose to click here, you have absolutely nobody to blame but yourself. Information wants to be free, man. I didn't do it.

(And thanks to trelkez for bringing this to my attention. I weep tears of, uh… gratitude, I guess.)

Did you see the episode of the Daily Show where Viggo Mortensen was the guest?

During the interview Jon played a recording of Mr. Colbert reciting ALL of Strider's names and who called him that and why. It sounded like Stephen was doing this off the top of his head. My personal shame is that I understood what the recording was about instantly and recognized many of the races and back stories associated with Strider.

Jon asked Viggo "What do you DO with people like that?" Viggo replied that had heard about Stephen's predilections and that he had sent Stephen a chocolate chess set of all the characters. The crowd went wild. Jon said that Stephen was going to have a month long erection.

I would have one too.

I DID see that! I remember thinking that Viggo, with his charming brand of slacker sang froid, could hardly be less like Aragorn. But when he mentioned the chess set, I thought "there is a gesture worthy of the Lord of the House of Elendil!'

And then I thought "when will my propeller beanie be back from the cleaners?" Cuz I am also a hopeless geek, omg! :)

But, you know, I'm pretty sure the recording was of someone on the staff other than Stephen. I swear Jon mentioned the guy's name. Are you sure, because I could totally be wrong. I'm actually kind of hoping you're right!

A little Viggo tangent: Viggo and Exene were sighted in a small cafe in Santa Monica last Tuesday. Unfortunately, it wasn't a sighting by me but by one the gals I taught crochet to while in LA last week.

It was definitely Stephen. Jon said so. And what Jon says is Gospel IMHO.

Indeed. I consulted with the husband, and he confirmed that you were correct. Hurray! Now I have an even bigger crush on Colbert!

My secret shame: I once clicked a link for a Stewart/Colbert "Real People Slash" fic. Even though RPS is Utterly and Unequivocally Immoral and Wrong.

it was pretty hot

You infect me
Oh where oh where? I want I want. Oh my gwahd!
This is more twisty than the Spander stuff I found via your twisty friends.

I think I'm going to start wearing a brain condom on whenever I read your BLOG.

Re: You infect me
Oh, dear. The Spander. What a weird, weird pairing. But it's always the ones that are at each other's throats (so to speak) that people find most intriguing to read and/or write. So it makes a strange sort of sense.

Also, I think your comments about the twisted nature of my LJ would have more credence if you weren't asking me for RPS!

It was a two parter, which starts here:
http://www.livejournal.com/community/tds_rps/1503.html

...and doesn't get steamy till here:
http://www.livejournal.com/community/tds_rps/2362.html

Frankly, after last year's election, it was kind of comforting to read. Even if the premise is completely unbelievable.

That's all the Jon/Stephen I have ever read, due to a genuine (really) feeling that it's probably bad, and I shouldn't. However, if you can bring yourself to do it, this community has an archive of over 60 stories here:

Have fun. Perv :)

I said I needed a condom. I didn't say I was going to stop delving in.

Have fun. Perv :)

I remember thinking that Viggo, with his charming brand of slacker sang froid, could hardly be less like Aragorn.

After watching days upon days of Behind the scenes stuff on LotR, I gotta say that Viggo IS Aragorn.
