I just got back from a half-hour presentation on the security features of the building. It amazes me that there's that much to say about it. About 4 or 5 people asked questions, where 3 weeks ago, nobody would even have bothered to show up to a thing like that.

We had a few people over for the Buffy premier last night. It was a pleasantly normalizing activity, for which I made veggie chili and corn bread. A real comforting evening. The two hour episode was pretty good, in my (admittedly under critical) opinion. They aren't shying away from Willow and Tara's relationship at all. They even showed them sleeping in bed together, apparently naked. I doubt they'd have gotten away with that on the WB.

Anyway, we stayed up too late afterwards talking. I'm veeeery tired, but in high spirits. The end of the work day is in sight!

Willow/Tara
I stayed up late *last* night watching it, since my cable futzed on Tuesday night. Thankfully, Alex taped it.

What is it with the Buffy premiere and cooking? I made pasta with shrimp and asparagus, grilled zucchini (note to self: more balsamic vinegar and less olive oil next time), and homemade focaccia with olives. Yum.

I also found floor in the living room, an activity about which I'm quite proud. I still have a week-and-a-half's worth of icky dishes in the sink, though, since Charlie and Kira didn't clean up after themselves at ALL this past weekend (I was at a Pagan festival, camping), and I've been too exhausted/unmotivated to tackle the pile.

Um, I was going to comment on your post, wasn't I . . . I'm tired and brain-scrambled and rambly this morning ;)

I also liked the way they handled W/T's relationship in this episode, and was pointing it out to Alex. Having them snuggled up together was just far too cute . . . and I really liked the fact that the two of them were 'in loco parentis' for Dawn.

Poor BuffyBot . . . I can't believe they just abandoned her conscious and in pieces . . .

And poor Buffy, too . . . I can't wait 'til next Tuesday . . .

Hi, Gail. It's good to hear from you. I got your email, and I promise a proper reply as soon as I have a moment. Things have been... fucking rotten frankly. But I'm OK. Hope you're well, old friend :)
