so. very. tired.

Right. So that's over with. I slept most of yesterday, and I still feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Don't have the energy to post any details. I'll try to do that later in the week, but don't wait up or anything.

I honestly don't know if it's worth it to drag myself through this year after year anymore. I'm getting older, and the fun-to-back breaking labor ratio isn't what it once was.

So, to sum up, I really haven't got anything nice to say right now. So I'll say nothing at the moment.

I'll say that even if you don't do this every year in the future, I'm always impressed by how much work you do and how very well you ALWAYS pull it off.

I have something nice to say, then.

You did a wonderful job managing the event this year, and we had a marvelous time.

Really, the rain wasn't that much worse than the usual at Beltane. There were a few bouts, but it was dry more often than not. Thanks for askin'.

And PS: If you need some extra cash to offset site fees even though I begged off for health weather and PC stabbiness, let me know. I don't mind sending you something for your trouble, because Ken is right, and I heard you did a wonderful job.

We had a great time, but I understand if you're feeling a bit overworked. You put a LOT into this every year.

I've been thinking lately about how much stress a few people (especially yourself) have been going through to put on events lately, and I've been mulling some ideas over. Sometime I need to call you to run some things past your brain, but not at a time when it will be anything other than a lovely happy funtime brainstormy thing.

:) You know, the thought that someone else is actually thinking about solutions and wants to brainstorm really, really helps me. Sometimes it just feels like nobody's all that interested in the process. People just show up or don't, from year to year, as they feel like, and if Beltane keeps happening, great. And if it doesn't, oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

I realize that nobody puts a gun to my head. It would just feel like such a tragic, personal failure if this long-running tradition had to go under because I couldn't figure out where to find the resources and energy.

I'm just profoundly grateful that you care enough to give it some thought. In fact... yep, teary. I'm misting up :)

I think I could handle some helping if you can think of things that you could ask for help with a long time in advance. Then I can nibble at them from time to time. I'm finding this approach is working for me a lot better than the other way.
I just wish I still lived closer. I didn't think it would make everything as big of a deal as it has.

From the household of "those people who didn't show up this year but had told you we would", Todd wants to send you money from our committment. It ended up being a really bad weekend for us personally.
PS: Things are getting better now.

Don't worry about it, hon. We're fine for money. A number of people helped out on site.

Sorry to hear it was a bad weekend :(

Many hands do make for a lighter burden. Perhaps delegation of authority might be something to look into? Appoint different people to handle the coordination of the food, collection of trash, &c. so you can be free to handle the tasks best done by you such as booking the entertainment, coordinating with the site, and collecting the $$.

Although this was only my first time at this event, it did seem to me as though there were enough people who wanted to continue the tradition.

Ya done good, relax now. ;-)

Baitcon has been going on for many years as well. They function with a committee, though it has the usual few that are the key facilitators.
