Three Good Things

...because I really need to look on the bright side.

1. E and I are both gainfully employed, which is a good thing in This Economytm.*

2. I have a good start on planning my NaNoWriMo novel, thanks to the wisdom and resourcefulness of my awesome fandom girlfriend.

3. I will soon be in a financial position to afford to go back to group therapy. And this I urgently need.

Good to see you yesterday, sweetie. I totally forgot though...I have a dress and a few other things for you, if you want them.

Also: have you ever checked out the sliding-scale therapy options from The Vienna Women's Center? (Which might just be "The Women's Center" now...I haven't dealt with them in a while.)

Hee :)

Thanks so much for having us over! It was jolly and Halloweeny. And, wow, you are so generous with me. I admit that I am in need of your generosity, too. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of clothes I can wear to work that fit me :(

I actually did see a therapist from the Women's Center once, and she was quite good. Thing is, I am pretty attached to my current therapist and the group that she runs. So I gotta bite the bullet and pay up.

Hooray! I am glad I can be of help.

And I find writing to be a useful form of therapy - if only because it gets the part of my brain that normally gets all tied up with anxiety busy thinking about something else.

It is totally therapeutic! Part of it is certainly the way it occupies my mind. Part of it is probably that I am engaging in a creative act, and even if the words I'm writing will never be read by many (or any) other people, the process is productive. Feeling productive always helps my mood.

I'm very grateful to be employed right now as well. May all of your Nanowrimo goals come true.
