eep

This coming week is the one leading up to the Beltane event (which deserves it's name less and less as it moves later and later into the month). Today is my only day off this week, and then I work straight through next Wednesday. There are so many things I need to do, but it's gloomy outside and I have a headache.

should I:

take asprin go back to bed for an hour or two?
8(33.3%)
suck it up and run errands?
4(16.7%)
throw a tantrum and order Indian food?
12(50.0%)

Hey it was a real toss-up between sleep & food. Not fair.

Hope the event goes well for you this year--I am sorely missing not going.

How about take an asprin and go get Indian food on your way to run the errands?

It will probably end up being much like that, yes. I believe in compromise!

Then, I will take a nap.

Are you still up for sewing tonight?

Absolutely! Want some Indian food? Or a box of that mac 'n' cheeze? Or something different altogether?

You are so sweet! ...actually, I'm kinda craving salad. Would you fancy something simple, leafy and green? (I can stop by the grocery store on my way over, if you like.)

Ooooh, sounds great! I actually got a bunch of spinach, collard greens, kale, etc. in my first organic farm share this week. If you wanted to grab a few lighter greens or some other veggies, we can toss my dark greens in there, and make a Super Salad! (I've also got some cuckes and a red pepper that could stand to be used soon).

I have a nasty one too. Its causing me to feel loopy and naseous. BUT I also want to be done with a BIG paper on Monday. However, the headache is not exactly conducive to writing or reading. GRRRR...looks like I will be burning the midnight oil.

DOH!! I realized that I made that comment "all about me." Sorry for that - it looks like headaches make me selfish as well.

Anyway...I sympathize with you and think that Indian food, aspirin and a nap sound like the best course of action. You could always run the errands once you feel a bit better.

No worries, hon. I actually appreciate the commiseration. I'm always comforted by "I understand how you feel."

I'm gonna go to the bank, then pick up Indian food and take a nap. Compromise!

explanation: my vote is for tantrum + indian fude because tantrum = expressing and releasing some of the anxiety/stress/etc. about the upcoming event, and indian fude = soothing yummy carbs to comfort and reward you after said tantrum. besides, indian food is ALWAYS a good idea. >;)

Naps are the most important things. I love naps. I wish I could nap now, since it's also rainy and gloomy out, and I'm sitting here with no work to do, but I don't want to leave because I'm being paid hourly.

So yes. You should nap.

Am I bad in that I'm thinking "Yay, no Beltane sewing for me this year!"?

You, your boy and your Saffie dog will be much missed.
